Shipping & Returns

What is your return policy?
In order to keep prices as low as possible, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges at this time.  All sales are final so please double-check your order before submitting.  If you have any questions about an item, please feel free to ask and we will do our best to help you out so that you understand what you are ordering.  If we have made a mistake with your order or received a defective product, please let us know so we can rectify it as soon as possible.  You will be asked to return the incorrect/defective item at our cost and upon receipt of return, we will ship the correct/replacement item to you.

How are shipping charges determined?
With the possible exception of fabric, USPS First Class shipping/handling charges on US orders are as follows:

Where does my order ship from?
Most orders are shipped from California within the United States.  Large special orders may ship directly from our factory in China for expediency and cost optimization.

How long will it take for me to receive my order?
We strive very hard to ship orders out within 2 business days. Most orders ship by priority mail, which from our experience usually takes approx 3-4 days for delivery within the US and generally 6-10 days internationally. Please note that customs can delay international deliveries. Orders under 1lb, such as for a small quantity of snaps, ship by first class mail, which generally take about a week for delivery within the US and 3-6 weeks internationally. US orders of at least $28 receive free priority shipping. 

Note that delivery times are estimated but can actually take longer as USPS does not guarantee delivery times of first class or priority mail.  If you are in a rush to receive your order, you may upgrade to USPS Express mail at an additional cost.

Please note that most snap presses are shipped using USPS flat-rate boxes, in order to provide you with the best value.  This provides a savings of up to 75% off weight-based shipping.  However, because the presses are so heavy and must fit within the USPS-provided flat-rate boxes, there is a limit on how much packaging material we can use.  As such, your package may arrive somewhat damaged superficially.  The actual press, dies, and snaps themselves, minus any plastic bags or boxes that hold them, are insured against damage.

If you would prefer not to utilize the USPS flat-rate priority shipping boxes, you may upgrade shipping to regular USPS priority mail based on weight.  Please send us an email requesting this, along with your shipping address, so that we may manually invoice you for the additional shipping charges.

A signature may be required upon delivery of snap presses.

I haven't received my order yet. What do I do?
Please contact us if you are within the US and do not receive your order within 10 business days from payment, or if you are an international customer and have not received your order within 30 business days. Please note, however, that because USPS does not guarantee delivery times for packages other than express mail, there is a mandatory waiting period of 30 days before a lost package claim can be filed with the post office.

Is there a tracking number for my package?
Most packages will not come with tracking numbers, unless you upgrade to Express shipping.  Most packages, except for international First Class, will have a delivery confirmation number which, as the term implies, is intended only to confirm the time and location of delivery.  Some delivery confirmation numbers may show additional scans enroute but that is solely at the discretion of the postal employees who handle the package and is not the ultimate purpose of delivery confirmations.  For learn more about the differences between tracking and delviery confirmation numbers, visit USPS.com.

Are packages insured?
Most packages are insured against loss or damage.  For non-delivery, there is a 30-day mandatory waiting period before an insurance claim can be filed for packages shipped within the US.  The mandatory waiting period is 45 days for most international and APO/FPO shipments.  Shipments to Italy require a 60-day wait.  All claims must be filed within 90 days of shipment date, and you must submit a signed statement of non-receipt or damage.  If the statement is not submitted in a timely manner, your insurance claim may be denied.  Click

Will I need to pay customs/duties?
Packages are declared at their full value for insurance purposes, so if you are outside of the US, you may be required to pay applicable customs/duties.  This is beyond our control.  Please check with your country's customs regulations if you are unsure whether you will be subject to additional fees. 

If we ship your package and you later choose not to pay the applicable customs/duties and instead choose to abandon your package, you will not receive a refund.
