I love felt fabric flowers because unlike real flowers, they forever retain their beauty, are cost effective, low maintenance, hypoallergenic, and add a sweet personalized handmade look to any project. Learn how to make these super easy, no sew rosette flowers using KAM snap fasteners that can be used to embellish sweaters, headbands, hats, gift boxes, you name it!

What you will need:

Download pattern. I printed the pattern true to size which will give you flowers approx. 1 1/2 inches wide, but you can enlarge the pattern (print fit to page) if you want to end up with larger flowers. Pin or tape the back of the pattern to your felt and cut.

Cut your other two felt pieces, so that you have three cut out patterns. If you used tape, carefully peel your tape off the felt.

Starting with the outside edge of the pattern, start rolling it tightly. Glue along the bottom of your rolls every 1/2 - 1 full roll to hold your rolls in place. At the end of your pattern, glue the end to the bottom. You may need to make a small cut at the end so that your ending felt lays flat against your rosette.

Roll and glue  your other  two felt pieces. Fold out your petals to give a more bloomed look. Dab glue at the bottom edges of your flowers to secure together.

Cut 2 small round pieces of felt that are slightly smaller than the base of your 3 flowers and glue together. I used 1 piece of felt, and 1 scrap piece of marine vinyl from a previous project. You want to glue 2 pieces of felt (or other fabric stabilizer) together to create a somewhat rigid base to hold your snap fastener. 1 piece of felt would be too thin/flimsy.

Poke a hole in the center of your round base with your awl.

Then use your  KAM snap pliers or press to install your  snap button fasteners with the socket and cap positioned as shown.

Glue the cap side of your round base to the bottom of your flowers.

Using your awl, poke a hole where you would like your flower pin or brooch to go. I'm attaching it to my daughter's vest.

The KAM snap plastic fastener is secure, but is also very easy to remove if you want to remove your felt brooch before washing your clothes, or change your brooch with other snap-on decorations. You can also easily add a stud and cap to a belt, hat, purse, etc... and snap your felt flower brooch to any other accessory. KAM snap fasteners are functional, versatile, and super easy and fun to use. They are also CPSIA Compliant and have been lead and phthalate tested to be safe to use on children's clothing and products.
