If you've got a drill press sitting around unused, you can modify it to a snap press. This will save you the expense of investing in a professional table-top snap or grommet press. You will still need a die set for the snaps you want to install.
Most drill presses will accept the shank of the top (socket & stud) dies in their open chucks. Then you make the holder for the bottom cap die using a piece of wood. A full tutorial is provided here. If you decide to give it a try, please use the necessary safety precautions.
