A pretty headband adds a special touch to any outfit and occasion.Think newborn pics where baby is wearing only a diaper and pretty headband. Priceless!
Making your own headband could not be simpler. You can add one flower, or a whole bouquet of them. Like the best DIY projects, this one is simple in supplies and time, but can be as big as you want in creativity and imagination.
Materials needed:
Cut a piece of elastic ribbon to your desired length. To fit my 1.5 year old daughter, I cut mine to 15" long.
Apply fray check to both ribbon ends, or use a lighter and singe the ends to prevent fraying.
Overlap your ribbon by 1/2" on both ends. Then using your KAM snap pliers or KAMsnaps KX8J professional handheld press, install a cap-socket through both ends of the ribbon as shown.
Install your cap-stud on a round piece of felt or scrap fabric as shown.
Hot glue the round piece of felt to the back of your flower.
Snap your flower to your headband, and you've a beautiful head piece!
The kids wanted our dog to try it on first. He's a super good sport (or silent sufferer) about playing dress up. =)
