When our son and daughter started teething, it became a non-stop drool fest until the majority of their teeth came in. Baby carrier suck pads helped contain the drool, and gave them something soft to bite on. Without them, our carrier straps would be drenched (our babies are really good at making drool like their mama), so these saved us a lot of time by not having to constantly wash our entire Ergo baby carrier.
