I'm a pretty advanced garment sewer but I was still hammering in my jeans buttons and avoiding rivets. Not anymore! I've had the hand press for the plastic KAM snaps for years and this is its beefy big brother--just as easy to use, goes through multiple layers of canvas and denim like butter. I'm planning projects just to use it. If you're on the fence, just get it!
I already had the DK-93 Professional Table Press but I like to work sometimes watching TV with my husband so I purchased the KX-T2 mini press to use in the TV room. It's so easy to move around and I can work in a small space. I bought the mounting board too, which makes this sweet little press work like a dream. I should have done this a long time ago. Well worth the money!!
The pro Model is easy to use and attach to a base. I gave it a 4 because the die attachment loosens and comes off as it is used. We already lost the die attachment because it was being used at a workshop and the volunteers didn't know they needed to keep tightening it. It must've fallen off when they were packing up after the workshop. $19 plus shipping to replace something that was only used a few times is expensive for our non-profit.
It seems a little crazy to get so excited about a table press, but this is the fourth device I have purchased for making grommets and, unless it breaks, it will be my last. The previous three devides resulted in me abandoning projects that required grommets. With this KAMsnap table press I am actively looking for projects that will allow me to put in grommets. It is SO EASY TO USE. I highly recommend getting the mounting board for stability and ease of use. Thanks for making a quality device!!
As a grandma and maker, I needed something easier than hooks and eyes and hand stitched snaps and even magnets. Tonight I tried KAMsnaps. So easy. I bought the stand up press because hand grip strength is an issue. Sorry I waited so long to try them. They just always sounded too good to be true. And such pretty colors. I love them.
