Easy-to-Make, Fabulous-to-Wear Neck Warmer Scarf
Embellished with metal rings and KAM plastic snaps, it's functional and trendy. Not only does the scarf help to keep you warm, but it looks great and is an easy way to add some pop to your outfit. And maybe best of all, it's simple and inexpensive to make.
We're calling this the Heather Ashley scarf, after its creator. All photos are courtesy of Heather via the KAMsnaps Elite Facebook group. (Thanks, Heather!)
This is a drawing Heather provided of the design.
The actual scarf.
Length of the completed scarf measures approx 27"-28".
Width measures approx 15"-16".
The longer tab is approx 5.5" and is sewn along the the longer side of the scarf, about 3.5" inward of the scarf edge.
2 socket snaps attached at the top of the tab, 2 studs attached at the base, with 2 metal rings in between. (Note: snaps are KAM
size 20 and can be installed with our inexpensive KAM
hand pliers tool.)
Press the snaps closed.
Notice how the rings loop. That 2nd ring on the right is where the other tab will loop through.
This is the other tab, around 3" long, with a snap at the top. The bottom snap is on the main part of the scarf rather than on the tab itself.
Fleece makes a cozy lining.
When wearing the scarf, the smaller tab loops through that 2nd ring and snaps closed.
Doesn't it look chic?
