I love fabric and I love art. Making fabric covered button jewelry combines these two loves, as it allows me to design my own piece of wearable art. With the myriad of fabric colors and prints available, I can create jewelry that is both beautiful and truly unique. These make wonderful gifts as well, and are so easy to do that even kids can make their own.
Materials needed:
First remove the wire backs from your cover buttons by following these instructions.
Then make 12 fabric cover buttons by following these instructions .
Apply a dab of E6000 glue to the back of your button, then place a small piece of felt inside. The felt will help fill the gap behind your button, and allow it to adhere better to your bracelet.
Lay out your 12 buttons, deciding where each button will go on your bracelet.
Apply another dab of E6000 glue to the top of your felt piece. Then center and press your button firmly onto your disc bracelet.
Let the glue dry overnight to set in place. And now you've a beautiful cover button bracelet!
