How to Install Jean Button Rivets & the Tools Needed

 

  Otherwise, here's what you need:

1. Jean buttons
2. KX jean button dies of the same style as the jean buttons (flat or donut).
3. One of the following KAMsnaps® professional presses: ( which tool do I have?)

• KX8J pro-handheld
• KX-T2 pro-standup press
• DK93 table press with DK93-KX adapter base
• DK98 table press with DK98-KX adapter set
• Important! Table presses require the adapters listed above in order to fit the KX dies.
• Not compatible with K1/K2 basic pliers for plastic snaps

Also Recommended:

• One of the following to create a hole through your fabric for fastener placement:
• Hole cutting punch dies (2.5mm) - make it easier to cut holes in vinyl, leather or multiple layers of thicker fabric
• Awl piercing dies - only pierces a hole without cutting through the material
• Hand awl - sufficient for thin fabric
