Did Jess from Oklaroots Send You?

Welcome! No need for me to wax lyrical about about Jess from Oklaroots because if you're here, you already know how dynamic she is and what amazing instructional videos she puts out on her OKLAROOTS Youtube channel.

In her Let's Talk About Rivet Presses video, Jess demonstrated several of our dies.  Below is a guide if you're interested in purchasing some of those items.  (You can always email judy@kamsnaps.com for assistance.)

Need a PRESS with ALL of Jess' Must-Have Dies?
If you want to go all out and start with virtually all the things Jess mentioned in her video, we have an Oklaroots bundle here that includes double cap rivets, magnetic snap rivets, fashion metal snaps, plastic snaps, and key fob hardware. It's a complete bundle with everything you need to start.

Need a RIVET PRESS?
Here's a rivet press starter bundle that includes the basic setup mentioned in the video -- just double cap rivets.  Everything you need to get started.

• Click here to add additional rivets (make your size selection from the drop-down menu).  Jess used 9mm rivets in her video, but I normally recommend our 10mm rivets for vinyl straps, and 9mm rivets for fabric straps. 

Add FASHION METAL SNAPS
These are what Jess said she used on her hand sanitizers. She used size 14 (about 3/8"), but size 20 (about 1/2") is also commonly used.

• First, add the fashion snaps (select the size from the drop-down box).
• Then, add the fashion snap dies (select the same size from the drop-down box).

Add PLASTIC SNAPS
Jess used size 20 regular length plastic snaps.  I recommend the regular length for light to mid-weight fabric, and the extra long for double layers of vinyl.

• First, add the size 20 plastic snaps.
• Regular length listed here.
• Extra long listed here.
• Then, add the  plastic snap dies.
• Optional: plastic snap removal dies for safely and quickly removing problem snaps.

Add MAGNETIC SNAP RIVETS

• First, add the magnetic snap rivets (select the size from the drop-down box).
• Then, add the magnetic snap rivet dies (select the same size from the drop-down box).

Add KEY FOB HARDWARE

• You can use key fob hardware from anywhere, but we have some available here.
• Then, add the clamping dies  (which can also be used to flatten seams).

Add OTHER FASTENERS

• If there are any other fasteners you'd like to add (like grommets, jean buttons, etc), you just need the corresponding dies.
• This page has a master list of all the dies for each fastener. Just click on the fastener you want to add.
